ಮೈಸೂರು, ಏಪ್ರಿಲ್, 6,2026 (www.justkannada.in): “ಶಿಕ್ಷಕ ವೃತ್ತಿ ಒಂದು ಪವಿತ್ರ ಮತ್ತು ಗೌರವಾನ್ವಿತ ವೃತ್ತಿಯಾಗಿದೆ. ಶಿಕ್ಷಕರೇ ಎಲ್ಲದರ ಸೃಷ್ಟಿಕರ್ತರು. ಭಾರತೀಯ ಶಿಕ್ಷಕರು ತಮ್ಮ ಜ್ಞಾನ, ಶಿಸ್ತು, ನೈತಿಕತೆ ಹಾಗೂ ಸಂವಹನ ಕೌಶಲ್ಯದ ಮೂಲಕ ಜಾಗತಿಕ ಮಟ್ಟದಲ್ಲಿ ಗೌರವಿಸಲ್ಪಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ” ಎಂದು ಮೈಸೂರು ವಿವಿ ವಿಶ್ರಾಂತ ಕುಲಪತಿ ಪ್ರೊ. ಕೆ.ಎಸ್. ರಂಗಪ್ಪ ಹೇಳಿದರು.
ನಗರದ ಕುವೆಂಪುನಗರದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಬಿಜಿಎಸ್ ಬಿ.ಎಡ್. ಕಾಲೇಜಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಸೋಮವಾರ ಪ್ರಥಮ ವರ್ಷದ ಬಿ.ಎಡ್. ಪ್ರಶಿಕ್ಷಣಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಗಾಗಿ ಆಯೋಜಿಸಲಾಗಿದ್ದ ‘ಉದ್ಗಮ’ಸ್ವಾಗತ ಸಮಾರಂಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರೊ.ಕೆ.ಎಸ್ ರಂಗಪ್ಪ ಅವರು ಮಾತನಾಡಿದರು.
ಕಳೆದ ಮೂವತ್ತು ವರ್ಷಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಜಗತ್ತಿನ ಯಾವುದೇ ಭಾಗದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಯೊಂದಿಗೆ ಯಾವ ಸಮಯದಲ್ಲಾದರೂ ಸಂಪರ್ಕ ಸಾಧಿಸಲು ಕನಿಷ್ಟ ಮೂರು ದಿನಗಳು ಬೇಕಾಗುತ್ತಿತ್ತು, ಪ್ರಸ್ತುತ ಕೆಲವೇ ಸೆಕೆಂಡುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಸಂಪರ್ಕಿಸಲು ಸಾಧ್ಯವಾಗಿರುವುದು ಶಿಕ್ಷಕರು ಬೋಧಿಸಿದ ವಿಜ್ಞಾನ ಮತ್ತು ಶಿಕ್ಷಣದ ಫಲವಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಅವರು ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು.
ಇಂದಿನ ಸ್ಪರ್ಧಾತ್ಮಕ ಯುಗದಲ್ಲಿ ಜ್ಞಾನವನ್ನು ನಿರಂತರವಾಗಿ ನವೀಕರಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವುದು ಅಗತ್ಯ. “ಜ್ಞಾನವನ್ನು ನವೀಕರಿಸದಿದ್ದರೆ ಇಂದಿನ ಪರಿಸ್ಥಿತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸ್ಪರ್ಧಾತ್ಮಕರಾಗಿರಲು ಸಾಧ್ಯವಿಲ್ಲ” ಎಂದು ರಂಗಪ್ಪ ಅವರು ಹೇಳಿದರು.
ಗ್ರಾಮೀಣ ಪ್ರತಿಭೆಗಳನ್ನು ಅನ್ವೇಷಿಸಿ ಬೆಳೆಸುವಲ್ಲಿ ಸ್ವಾಮೀಜಿಗಳು ಮಹತ್ವದ ಪಾತ್ರವಹಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಶಿಕ್ಷಕರ ಕರ್ತವ್ಯವು ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳನ್ನು ಕೇವಲ ಪರೀಕ್ಷೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಸಿದ್ಧಗೊಳಿಸುವುದಲ್ಲ; ಜೀವನಕ್ಕೆ ಸಜ್ಜುಗೊಳಿಸುವುದೂ ಆಗಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಅವರು ಅಭಿಪ್ರಾಯಪಟ್ಟರು.
ಬಿ.ಎಡ್. ಪದವಿ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಸಹನೆ, ಶಿಸ್ತು, ಆತ್ಮವಿಶ್ವಾಸ ಮತ್ತು ಸಹಾನುಭೂತಿ ಬೆಳೆಸುತ್ತದೆ. ಜೊತೆಗೆ ಬಿ.ಎಡ್. ಪದವೀಧರರಿಗೆ ಜಾಗತಿಕ ಮಟ್ಟದಲ್ಲಿ ಉತ್ತಮ ಅವಕಾಶಗಳಿವೆ ಎಂದರು.
ಶಿಕ್ಷಕ ವೃತ್ತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಯಶಸ್ಸು ಪದವಿಗಳಿಂದ ಮಾತ್ರ ನಿರ್ಧಾರವಾಗುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. ಉತ್ತಮ ಮನೋಭಾವ, ಸದುಪಯೋಗಿ ನಡೆ-ನುಡಿ ಹಾಗೂ ಬದಲಾಗುವ ಪರಿಸ್ಥಿತಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಹೊಂದಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವ ಸಾಮರ್ಥ್ಯವೇ ಯಶಸ್ಸಿನ ಮೂಲ ಎಂದು ಅವರು ಹೇಳಿದರು.
ಒಬ್ಬ ಶಿಕ್ಷಕ ನೀಡುವ ಒಂದು ಮೆಚ್ಚುಗೆಯ ಮಾತು ಕೂಡ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಸ್ಪರ್ಧಾತ್ಮಕ ಮನೋಭಾವ ಮತ್ತು ಆತ್ಮವಿಶ್ವಾಸವನ್ನು ಹೆಚ್ಚಿಸಬಲ್ಲದು. ನೋಬೆಲ್ ಪ್ರಶಸ್ತಿ ಪುರಸ್ಕೃತರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ದೊಡ್ಡ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಗಳಿಂದ ಬಂದವರಲ್ಲ; ಸಾಮಾನ್ಯ ಕುಟುಂಬಗಳಿಂದ ಬಂದ ಅನೇಕರು ತಮ್ಮ ಪರಿಶ್ರಮ ಮತ್ತು ಸಂಕಲ್ಪದಿಂದ ಮಹತ್ತರ ಸಾಧನೆ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ ಎಂದು ರಂಗಪ್ಪ ಅವರು ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು.
“ದೊಡ್ಡ ಕನಸು ಕಾಣಿರಿ, ಕಠಿಣ ಪರಿಶ್ರಮ ಪಡಿರಿ. ನೀವು ವಿಶ್ವದ ಅತ್ಯಂತ ಗೌರವಾನ್ವಿತ ವೃತ್ತಿಗೆ ಪ್ರವೇಶಿಸಿದ್ದೀರಿ. ಸಮಾಜಕ್ಕೆ ಹೆಮ್ಮೆಯ ಕೊಡುಗೆ ನೀಡುವವರಾಗಿರಿ” ಎಂದು ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಪ್ರೊ.ಕೆ.ಎಸ್ ರಂಗಪ್ಪ ಕರೆ ನೀಡಿದರು.
ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯ ಕಾರ್ಯದರ್ಶಿ ಶ್ರೀ ಸೋಮೇಶ್ವರ ನಾಥ ಸ್ವಾಮೀಜಿ ಮಾತನಾಡಿ, ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ದೊಡ್ಡ ಕನಸುಗಳನ್ನು ಕಂಡು ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ನನಸಾಗಿಸಬೇಕು. ನೀವು ಶ್ರೀ ಬಾಲಗಂಗಾಧರನಾಥ ಸ್ವಾಮೀಜಿಗಳ ಪವಿತ್ರ ನೆಲದಲ್ಲಿ ವಿದ್ಯಾಭ್ಯಾಸ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದೀರಿ. ಅವರ ಆಶೀರ್ವಾದ ಸದಾ ನಿಮ್ಮೊಂದಿಗಿರಲಿ. ನೀವು ಜೀವನದಲ್ಲಿ ಮಹತ್ತರ ಯಶಸ್ಸು ಸಾಧಿಸಲಿ” ಎಂದು ಅವರು ಹಾರೈಸಿದರು.
ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಕಾಲೇಜಿನ ಆಡಳಿತಾಧಿಕಾರಿ ತಿ ಯಶೋಧ, ಪ್ರಾಂಶುಪಾಲ ಡಾ.ನಾಗರಾಜು, ಅಧ್ಯಾಪಕರು ಹಾಗೂ ಪ್ರಶಿಕ್ಷಣಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಉಪಸ್ಥಿತರಿದ್ದರು.

“Indian Teachers are Respected Globally” -Prof.K.S.Rangappa
Mysuru, April 6: “Indian teachers are respected globally because of their knowledge, discipline, ethics and communication skills,” said Prof. K. S. Rangappa while addressing the ‘Udgama’ Fresher’s Day celebration organised for first-year B.Ed. students at BGS B.Ed. College, Kuvempunagar, Mysuru, on Monday.
Speaking on the occasion, Prof. Rangappa described teaching as a noble profession and said that teachers are the creators of everything in society. He remarked that the remarkable progress in science and technology during the last thirty years, which has enabled people to connect with anyone, anywhere and at any time, has become possible only because of teachers and their contribution to scientific education.
He stressed that knowledge must be continuously updated in the present competitive world. “If knowledge is not updated, we cannot remain competitive,” he said. He also appreciated the efforts of swamijis in identifying and encouraging rural talent.
Prof. Rangappa pointed out that the role of a teacher is not limited to preparing students for examinations, but also to prepare them for life. He said that a B.Ed. degree helps students develop patience, discipline, confidence and empathy, which are essential qualities for a successful teacher.
Highlighting the future prospects for B.Ed. graduates, he said that there are excellent global opportunities for trained teachers. However, he added that success in the teaching profession depends not merely on academic degrees, but on attitude, good behaviour and the ability to adapt.
He further observed that even a small word of appreciation from a teacher can inspire students and bring out their hidden talents. Referring to distinguished achievers, he said that Nobel laureates do not always emerge from big institutions, but often come from ordinary families with determination and hard work.
Encouraging the students, Prof. Rangappa said, “Dream big and work hard. You have entered one of the world’s most respected professions. May you become proud contributors to society.”
Secretary of the institution Sri Someshwaranathaswamyji also advised the students to dream big and achieve great success to accomplish the desires of the parents. He reminded them that they are studying in the holy land of Sri Balagangadharanatha Swamiji and wished them success with his blessings.
Administrative Officer Smt. H. Yashoda, Principal Dr. Nagaraju, faculty members and teacher trainees were present on the occasion.
