ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು, ಮೇ, 16,2026 (www.justkannada.in): ರಾಜ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಮೆಡಿಕಲ್ ಸೀಟು ಲಭ್ಯತೆ ಹೆಚ್ಚಾಗಿದ್ದು, ವೈದ್ಯಕೀಯ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಾಧನೆ ಮಾಡಲು ಬಯಸುವವರಿಗೆ ಸುವರ್ಣ ಅವಕಾಶ ಲಭಿಸಲಿದೆ. ರಾಜ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ಹೆಚ್ಚುವರಿ 1122 ಸೀಟುಗಳು ದೊರೆಯಲಿವೆ ಎಂದು ವೈದ್ಯಕೀಯ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ, ಕೌಶಲ್ಯಾಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿ, ಜೀವನೋಪಾಯ ಮತ್ತು ರಾಯಚೂರು ಜಿಲ್ಲಾ ಉಸ್ತುವಾರಿ ಸಚಿವ ಡಾ. ಶರಣಪ್ರಕಾಶ ಆರ್. ಪಾಟೀಲ್ ತಿಳಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ಶನಿವಾರ ವಿಕಾಸಸೌಧದಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆದ ಪತ್ರಿಕಾಗೋಷ್ಠಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಈ ಕುರಿತು ಮಾಹಿತಿ ನೀಡಿದ ಸಚಿವ ಶರಣ ಪ್ರಕಾಶ್ ಪಾಟೀಲ್, ನಮ್ಮ ರಾಜ್ಯ ವೈದ್ಯಕೀಯ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ದೇಶದಲ್ಲೇ ಮುಂಚೂಣಿಯಲ್ಲಿದೆ. ರಾಜ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ದೊರೆತಿರುವ ಹೆಚ್ಚುವರಿ ಸೀಟುಗಳು ಕೊಪ್ಪಳ, ಗದಗ, ಚಾಮರಾಜನಗರ, ಕಾರವಾರ, ಕಾವೇರಿ ಸೇರಿ ಇತರೆ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಗಳಿಗೆ ದೊರೆಯಲಿದೆ ಎಂದು ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು.
ಪದವಿಪೂರ್ವ ಸೀಟುಗಳಿಗೆ ಕೇಂದ್ರ ಸರ್ಕಾರದಿಂದ 495 ಕೋಟಿ ರೂ. ಅನುದಾನ ಸಿಗಲಿದೆ. ಅದೇ ರೀತಿ ಸ್ನಾತಕೋತ್ತರ ವೈದ್ಯಕೀಯ ಸೀಟುಗಳಿಗೆ 541 ಕೋಟಿ ರೂಪಾಯಿ ಅನುದಾನ ಸಿಗಲಿದೆ. ಕೇಂದ್ರ ಮತ್ತು ಆರೋಗ್ಯ ಕುಟುಂಬ ಕಲ್ಯಾಣ ಇಲಾಖೆಯು ಮೇ 15ರಂದು ಅಂತಿಮ ಮುದ್ರೆ ಹಾಕಿದೆ. ಒಟ್ಟಾರೆಯಾಗಿ ರಾಜ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ 1090 ಕೋಟಿ ರೂಪಾಯಿ ದೊರೆಯಲಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು.
ಒಂದು ಸಾವಿರ ಮೆಡಿಕಲ್ ಸೀಟ್ ಒಂದು ರಾಜ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ಸಿಕ್ಕಿರುವುದು ದಾಖಲೆಯಾಗಿದೆ. ಕರ್ನಾಟಕದ ಸಾಧನೆಗೆ ಇದು ಪೂರಕವಾದ ಸಾಕ್ಷಿಯಾಗಿದೆ. ವೈದ್ಯ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಾಧನೆ ಮಾಡುವವರಿಗೆ ಅತಿ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಸಾಧನೆ ಮಾಡಲು ಕರ್ನಾಟಕದಲ್ಲಿ ಈಗ ವಿಫುಲ ಅವಕಾಶಗಳು ದೊರೆತಂತಾಗುತ್ತದೆ. ಇದನ್ನು ಸದುಪಯೋಗಪಡಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕು ಎಂದು ಡಾ. ಶರಣ ಪ್ರಕಾಶ ಪಾಟೀಲ್ ಸಲಹೆ ನೀಡಿದರು.

Bengaluru, May 16: The availability of medical seats in the state has increased, offering a golden opportunity for those aspiring to build a career in the medical field. An additional 1,122 seats will be made available to the state, announced Dr. Sharanprakash R. Patil, Minister for Medical Education, Skill Development, Livelihood, and In-charge Minister of Raichur District.
Addressing a press conference held at Vikasa Soudha on Saturday, the Minister stated that Karnataka is at the forefront of the country in the field of medical education.
The additional seats allocated to the state will benefit districts including Koppal, Gadag, Chamarajanagar, Karwar, Kaveri, and others.
For undergraduate seats, a central government grant of ₹495 crore will be received. Similarly, a grant of ₹541 crore will be provided for postgraduate medical seats, Dr. Patil explained. The Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare gave its final approval on May 15. In total, the state will receive ₹1,090 crore, he added.
Allocation of over 1,000 medical seats to a single state is a record achievement, and stands as a testament to Karnataka’s accomplishments, said Dr. Patil.
Karnataka now offers abundant opportunities for those wishing to excel in the medical field, and students should make the best use of this, advised Dr. Sharanprakash Patil.
